Rev. Matt Crutchfield serves as the Lead Pastor of Malvern First Assembly, where he has been faithfully ministering since 2006. A licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, Pastor Matt spent over 18 years leading worship and over 20 years in youth ministry before stepping into the lead pastor role in 2024. His life and calling are all about one thing, knowing Jesus and making Him known.
Pastor Matt has a deep love for Jesus and a heart to see people encounter His life-changing power. He is passionate about helping others grow in a real, personal relationship with Christ, grounded in the truth of God’s Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Whether preaching on Sundays, praying with someone during the week, or simply sharing a cup of coffee, his goal is to point people to the hope, grace, and salvation found in Jesus alone.
Pastor Matt also has a strong desire to reach beyond the church walls and into the heart of the community. Whether it's through local outreach events, serving families in need, hosting worship nights, or simply being present in schools and neighborhoods, he believes the church is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus bringing light, love, and compassion wherever it goes.
He’s been married to his high school sweetheart, April, since 2002, and together they have a beautiful daughter, Hannah. When he’s not serving at the church, you’ll likely find him fishing, camping, enjoying time with his family, or leading worship with his band, Crutchfield, all for the glory of Jesus.
